TERMS OF USE

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the App, you affirm that you are at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction and fully able and competent to enter into and be legally bound by these Terms. You also agree to comply with all applicable local, state, national, and international laws, rules, and regulations.

2. Description of Services

RigCalc Pro provides rigging and lifting calculations, working load limit (WLL) reference charts, and lookup guides — including sling load and tension, load weight estimation, centre of gravity, crane capacity checks, drift and headroom clearance, shackle and wire rope capacities, crane hand signals, and hitch types (the "Services"). The specific features and capabilities of the App may change from time to time.

3. Free and Pro Tiers

RigCalc Pro is free to download and use. Some features require a Pro subscription.

• The Sling Load & Tension Calculator is free and unlimited. No account or sign-up is required.
• The hitch types guide, unit converter, a starter set of crane hand signals, and recent calculation history are included free.
• Pro unlocks the Load Weight Estimator, Center of Gravity, Crane Capacity Check, Drift / Headroom, the complete WLL chart library, the full hand-signal set, and unlimited history.

4. Subscription Terms

Pro is offered as an auto-renewing subscription:

• Weekly: $1.99 per week, following a 1-week free trial.
• Annual: $19.99 per year, following a 1-month free trial.

Prices are shown in US dollars and may vary by region; the price applicable to you is displayed in the App before purchase. Payment is charged to your Apple account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.

You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple account settings under Subscriptions. If you cancel during a free trial, access continues until the end of the trial period. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when a subscription is purchased.

Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with App Store policy; we cannot issue refunds directly.

5. Disclaimer of Accuracy

Important: The tensions, capacities, weights, and working load limits provided by RigCalc Pro are intended as general planning guidance only. They are NOT certified engineering calculations and should NOT be used as a substitute for professional engineering judgement, a site-specific lift plan, the manufacturer's rated capacity tag, or applicable codes and standards.

Users are solely responsible for verifying all values against the manufacturer's documentation, the load chart for their specific crane configuration, and applicable ASME B30 and OSHA 1926.251 requirements before performing any lift. RigCalc Pro assumes no liability for any damage, injury, or loss resulting from the use of values provided by the App.

6. User Responsibility

You acknowledge and agree that:

• Rigging and lifting operations are inherently dangerous and require proper training, qualification, and inspection.
• You will always verify calculated values against the manufacturer's tag, rated capacity charts, and applicable standards.
• You will follow all safety protocols, use appropriate personal protective equipment, and comply with your site's lift-plan requirements.
• The App is a reference tool for trained and qualified rigging personnel and does not replace rigging education, certification, or a competent person's inspection.

7. Intellectual Property

Ownership:

All content, features, and functionalities available through the App are owned by or licensed to RigCalc Pro and are protected by intellectual property laws.

8. Modifications to the App

We reserve the right to modify, update, or discontinue the App at any time without prior notice. We will not be liable for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the App.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time for violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the App immediately ceases.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. RigCalc Pro makes no warranties regarding the operation or availability of the App. Calculated values may vary based on actual field conditions, equipment condition, and configuration, and are not guaranteed to be suitable for any particular lift.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, RigCalc Pro and its affiliates will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to damages related to lifting operations performed using values from the App.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which RigCalc Pro's principal operations are based. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the competent courts of that jurisdiction.

13. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
